Elena Barrero, Deputy Manager
Hi, I’m Elena Barrero, originally from the north of Spain. I hold a Level 4 qualification as an Early Years Educator and I’m currently training to become a Forest School Leader.
My journey in the UK began five years ago—I came for what was meant to be a three-month stay to improve my English, but I ended up staying with my host family for nine months as an au pair. Since then, I’ve built up over four years of experience working in childcare.
I’ve always had a passion for the outdoors. Whether it’s taking long walks by the beach or swimming in the sea, nature is where I feel most at home. Last year, I even took part in the Pier to Pier swim! I also enjoy getting creative through crafts, especially origami, which I love sharing with children as a fun and mindful activity.
